TimeToTestTerms of use.
These terms explain what TimeToTest is, who may use it, and the rules that keep recipients safe. Please read them before using the service.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using TimeToTest, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
TimeToTest is for adults aged 18 or over. You may only notify people who are also 18 or over. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. The service
TimeToTest sends a single, fixed SMS to recipients you choose, recommending they get tested and linking to NHS services. The message is anonymous: it does not reveal who sent it. The service does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use TimeToTest only for genuine partner notification, only with numbers you have a legitimate reason to contact, and only in a way that is honest and respectful of the recipient.
5. Prohibited conduct
You must not use TimeToTest to send false, malicious, harassing, threatening, or coercive messages, to contact anyone under 18, to impersonate others, or to notify numbers you have no genuine reason to contact. Misuse may be reported and acted upon, and may be unlawful.
6. Recipients’ rights
Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, END, CANCEL, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE, or via the opt-out page, and can report misuse. We review every report within 24 hours.
7. No medical advice
TimeToTest is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional and use NHS or local sexual health services.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but provide it “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or withdraw features to protect users or the service.
9. Intellectual property
The TimeToTest name, logo, app, and content are owned by TimeToTest CIC. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, TimeToTest CIC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
